Would you want to buy a home with an indoor swimming pool?
At first this may seem like a dream come true… except that when you signed the contract you didn't know that the home had an indoor swimming pool!!
That's where this home inspection in Arlington, Texas becomes a nightmare.
As you can see from the photo, this 'indoor swimming pool' is actually located in the attic. And it's there to catch the water from the roof leaks.
Pretty cool really – with the pool in place no water leaks down into the house. So it's probably good that it was placed there or the home would have even more damage.
Of course if you're the one buying the home you don't really want to buy a house that has a roof leaking bad enough to need a swimming pool under the leaks. And you don't want all that moisture and smell just sitting in your attic.
Most importantly you wouldn't want to buy the home and not even know about the roof leaks. Thankfully this home buyer was smart and hired a thorough home inspector who found this attic swimming pool.
